We’ve appointed a new Group Finance Director

Rita Akushie has been appointed the new Group Finance Director at Thames Valley Housing (TVH), taking over in April 2017.

Geeta Nanda, CEO of TVH said “I’m so pleased we’ve appointed Rita, as she’s bringing huge amounts of knowledge and experience in Finance, Treasury and business improvement with her. I’m she sure will be a fantastic asset to us. It’s an exciting time to be joining TVH as we set our strategic ambitions for 2020 and beyond. Our financial models and strength will be key to this, with Rita playing an important leadership role.”

Rita said “I’m really looking forward to joining TVH in April. I was attracted by their reputation for being innovative, ambitious and commercial. This role is an opportunity to help shape TVH’s future and work with colleagues to build an even stronger brand.”

Rita will be joining TVH from London-based Newlon Housing Trust, where she’s been Finance Director since 2004, and Deputy Chief Executive since 2009. Before that, she worked for Gateway Housing, Springboard Housing and Family Housing (now part of Family Mosaic).

TVH’s current Group Finance Director, Julian Turner, will be leaving for a new role in the commercial sector in the next month and TVH’s Deputy Finance Director, Laura Cooke, will be stepping in as Interim Group Finance Director.
