Hear from some of the people who work at TVH.

Fran Moynihan

Resident Involvement Officer

Fran Moynihan is one of three Resident Involvement Officers at TVH. She has been here since August 2008.

Fran MoynihanI have a lot of contact with the Residents since it’s my job to co-ordinate the Residents’ groups, Residents’ Conferences and work with the Residents to monitor our services.

Getting to work with the residents means I’m always meeting really interesting people and I really enjoy the variety in my job. No two days are the same and there is always something new to learn.

There’s a lot of importance placed on continuous improvement at TVH and my ideas for how we can improve things for the residents are taken seriously. My team is really supportive and so are the other departments. The people at TVH are very friendly and the atmosphere in the office is great.

Dani Brace

Central Services Assistant

Dani Brace started in 2006, working for the Facilities Department as Central Services Assistant. She applied for a secondment for 6 months in the Leasehold Team, who manage the Home Ownership properties, working as the Leasehold Management Assistant, and then she obtained the post permanently.

Dani Brace I really enjoy resolving a challenging query or problem a resident is having I get immense job satisfaction if I’ve been able to remedy it quickly and the resident has gone away happy and stressfree.

The training opportunities here are excellent; not just the training to do my specific job, but the opportunity to study [insert what Dani has studied]. If you want training and you’re willing to put the time in, TVH will do their utmost to try to make it happen for you.

The people I work with are really important, too. We work as a team. My colleagues are they’re really supportive.

Sarbjit Mann

Assistant HR Advisor

I really like working at TVH. It’s a very friendly company and you feel valued for your work. I came for two weeks, and I’m still here. I came as a temp PA to the Finance Director covering annual leave, however TVH liked my work and asked me to stay on, temping in the HR department.

I moved into a permanent post in January of this year. I administrate the staff benefits system and answer questions staff have about their benefits. I’m also involved in the recruitment process and working on the payroll. I don’t think there’s anything I don’t like doing. My job is fun and busy, which is just the way I like it.

Joe Richardson

Head of Project Delivery

Joe Richardson works in the Development department, who build and deliver our homes. He has been at TVH for 7 years and has progressed from Officer through middle management to his current position.

It’s my job to ensure everything we build is the highest possible quality, and to make sure when our residents move into these homes, we provide a really first rate service.

My first role at TVH was as Development Officer, responsible for the day to day management of developments as they were built. I was promoted twice; first to Special Projects Development Manager, then to Regional Development Manager (London). In April this year, one day short of 7 years at TVH, I started my current post as Head of Project Delivery.

I worked with other housing organisations and TVH has some of the best staff in the business – right across the company. It’s a really happy place to work and as my record shows, TVH encourages its staff to grow and develop, and rewards that effort.

Karen Sandford

Customer Service Centre

Karen Sandford works in the Customer Service Centre, answering calls from Residents reporting repairs and making enquiries. Not enjoying her retirement, she started with TVH as a temp in February 2006, and then became a permanent member of staff in August 2006.

TVH gave me a chance to restart my career when other companies didn’t even offer me an interview.

TVH has a really good policy towards ‘older’ people. The working conditions are good. So is the pay and the annual leave entitlements.

Even when I was a temp, TVH gave me extensive training before I actually started to take calls from residents. I’ve benefited from a number of other training courses since. You really need it in the CSC as you are answering questions from residents on all aspects of living in their home. No two days are the same. I really enjoy the variety. I’m very happy in my work.
