Learning and development

We really believe in getting the best out of our people, so you’ll start expanding your knowledge and skills as soon as you start working for us.

Induction

  • We have a comprehensive induction process to help you find your feet. You will learn about our values and see some of our properties during your induction.  You will receive training across areas such as IT, housing knowledge, health and safety and equality and diversity.

Your career at TVH

  • You can benefit from our excellent training centre and work towards NVQ’s or Certificates in Housing. We will also support you financially and with time off for Professional Qualifications in areas such as IT and Finance if it’s related to your job.
  • We also have a wide range of in-house training you can tap into around customer care, housing law and manager training.

Work Life Balance

Annual Leave

  • We have generous annual leave allowances, starting at 25 days and increasing to 30 days, plus bank holidays and an extra day at Christmas

Flexi Time

  • Some of our teams require more flexibility, so you may benefit from flexi time as well!

Family Friendly Policies

  • We have a range of family-friendly policies to help you get the best work-life balance.
  • Child Care Vouchers - If you need childcare whilst you are at work, we can help out by allowing you up to £243 per month tax-free from your pay to go towards the cost of your childcare. This means you can save 20-40% of what you'd normally pay.

Recognition

Community awards

  • We encourage people to give something back to the community, and in return, we give you two extra days of annual leave

Employee recognition awards

  • We value the contributions that every team member makes, and we recognise this. Some examples are ‘Employee of the Quarter’, ‘Team of the Year’ and ‘Business Contribution of the Year’.
