Chair

JOHN GARRITY, MA (Hons), DipTP, MCIM, MAPM, MRTPI has served on the Board for 6 years. He became Chair of TVHA in October 2010. He is a member of the Group Audit and Risk Committee (GA&RC)and the GR&NC. John is currently Head of the Central Private Finance Unit at the Department for Communities and Local Government.

PETER WILLIAMS, BA, MSc, PhD, FCIH, FRGS has served on the Board for 6 years, and was Chair until October 2010. Peter also chairs the Group Remuneration and Nominations Committee (GR&NC). Peter is a Housing Consultant and former Deputy Director General of the Council of Mortgage Lenders.

LAURE DUHOT, MSc, MPhil, MA has served on the Board for 6 years. She is a member of the GA&RC. Laure is currently Head of Capital Raising at Pradera-AM plc. Laure is a member of the Urban Land Institute and of the European Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real-Estate Vehicles.

GERARD MCCORMACK, LLB, CA has served on the Board for 10 years. He is Chair of the GA&RC. Gerard provides Strategic and Finance advice to Small & Medium-sized enterprises.

DEAN MAYER, BSC (Hons), ACA, AMCT joined the Board in November 2007. He is a Member of the GA&RC. Dean is the Managing Director of DAM Capital Management Sarl, a leading European corporate mezzanine debt investment company.

BENITA MEHRA, BSc, MSc, MBA, CIET joined the Board in November 2007. Benita is a chartered engineer. Benita is the owner and director of Benril Ltd, a property development company, and acts as an interim property manager for the NHS. Benita also sits on the Board of TVCH.

EMMA CARIAGA, BSc (Hons.), DipTp - is 35 and joined the Board in July 2011. She is Head of Strategic Projects at Land Securities plc. Emma is a Member of the Group Investment Committee.

GEETA NANDA, BSc, P, DIP Housing, CIH joined Thames Valley Housing in April 2008. Geeta has worked in the housing sector for 22 years in housing associations, local government and research. Geeta joined Thames Valley Housing from Notting Hill Housing Group, where she was Group Director of Operations.

JACK STEPHEN, MA (Hons), CA joined Thames Valley Housing in 1995 having previously held the positions of Finance Director, Financial Controller and Treasurer with a number of banks and other international companies.

JANE STAVELEY, LLB has served on the Board for 8 years. Jane is a member of the GR&NC and also sits on the Board of TVH. Jane is a solicitor specialising in Housing PFI at Ashurst LLP.

Deputy Chair

DAVID SMITH, BSc, MSc, PhD, CIH,CIEH joined the Board Member in May 2008. He is a member of the GR&NC. Until 2007 David was Group Chief Executive of First Wessex Housing Group. David is now a consultant undertaking a variety of housing related assignments.

DOZIE AZUBIKE, BSc, PhD, CMIOSH has served on the Board for 7 years. He is Deputy Chair of the The GA &RC. Dozie is a Health & Safety Inspector with the Health & Safety Executive and a Justice of the Peace in Reading.

MAGGIE RAFALOWICZ, BA is 56, and is currently a Consultant in Housing, Development and Regeneration. She was Assistant Director Housing & Community Care for the London Borough of Brent and has also worked for The Housing Corporation and Solon Co-operative Housing Services Ltd. (London).

PAUL BRIDGE, BA, MSC - is 41 and is Chief Executive of Homes for Haringey. Paul has worked in housing for over sixteen years with senior experience in Housing Management, Development, Regeneration and technical roles.

STEVE MARSDEN, MA – is 57 and has extensive experience as a global business manager in the commercial sector. He is also a non-executive director of Hertfordshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Vice-Chair of Harrow F.E. College.

Resident Board Member

STEVE MCALLISTER – is 35 and runs a property maintenance business. He is a tenant of TVCHA and has participated in a number of resident involvement roles, most recently as Chair of the Resident Auditors Group. His involvement has given him a wide knowledge of TVH’s services, polices and procedures.

BRIAN HENDON, FCA, joined the Board in 2010. He is a Non Executive Director for the NHS Berkshire East PCT and the Non-Executive Chairman of YourGroup Limited. He trained as a Chartered Accountant and has worked in various senior financial and management roles. More recently Brian has held both Executive and Non-Executive Directorships with two plcs in the retail service sector.

JOHN BALDWIN, BA MICH joined Thames Valley Housing in May 2008. He has worked in the housing sector for over 20 years, latterly as the Director of Housing Management at Notting Hill Housing. John has also served as a committee member for Threshold Housing Advice.

Development director

MARK ALLNUTT, BA (Hons) joined Thames Valley Housing in March 2008. Mark has worked in the housing sector for 14 years, having previously worked in private sector organisations in insurance and construction. Mark joined TVH from Sovereign Housing Group where he was Assistant Director of Development.
