Residents require self-confidence, presentation and negotiation skills to successfully undertake Resident-Led Self-Regulation, sit on a Board or represent their community.

This module is designed to assist residents in developing these skills, and the confidence they need in order to apply them.

Course details

Day 1:
• Public speaking
• Equality and Diversity

Day 2:
• Negotiation, assertiveness and the skills needed to be successful
• How to resolve conflicts satisfactorily

Module delivery

The module is a mixture of practical tasks using individual excercises, group discussion, group activities and tutor presentations. 

Duration: 2 days

Venue: We will deliver this module for up to 14 of your residents at your premises or ours (The TVH Training Centre, Twickenham.  Location and map)

We strongly recommend residents also attend the Housing Practice module which provides basic knowledge about the policies and practices of housing organisations.  It also provides an in-depth understanding of resident self-regulation.
