John Garrity has been appointed as the new Chair of Thames Valley Housing Association (TVHA). He has been Deputy Chair of TVHA since 2009.
Peter Williams, Chair of TVHA since 2004, is stepping down, after 6 years in the role. He will remain a member of the TVHA Board.
Peter joined the Board in 2004. Since then the association has more than doubled its annual turnover and trebled the number of homes it manages. During his period as Chair, TVHA has also built and managed 6 NHS staff accommodation developments, created the Resident Employment and Training Centre, been named as one of the Sunday Times Top 100 companies to work for in 2006 and achieved the government’s Customer Service Excellence award, in 2009.
Peter Williams said, “Chairing the Board of TVHA has been hugely worthwhile, and I am delighted that I will continue to be a part of its future in my role as a Board Member. I know that John Garrity, who has many years experience on the Board of TVHA, will continue to see it go from strength to strength.”
John Garrity said, “Peter’s achievements as Chair have been outstanding. He has helped ensure TVHA has remained financially successful at a very difficult time without compromising our commitment to our customers or to the provision of decent homes.”
