Thames valley housing (TVH) has become only the third housing association in the country to achieve Investors in People (IIP) Gold.
Gold is the highest level of recognition which organisations can achieve. TVH joins a select number of IIP Gold organisations in the UK. Of over 24,000 organisations with IIP recognition in the country, less than 1% have achieved Gold.
TVH achieved the gold standard following an assessment of all of its people strategies, with a focus on key business projects such as the implementation of a new customer service training programme.
John Telfer, Joint Managing Director of IBP, the organisation that manages Investors in People in London and the South East, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for Thames Valley Housing. In achieving Gold status, they have proved themselves to be amongst the best Investors in People organisations in the country. I hope that news of their success will encourage others in the sector to follow their example and use the Investors in People framework to help realise their business goals and ambitions.”
The gold award was recently introduced by Investors in People to help companies who had already achieved the basic standard to aim for a new challenge in helping staff enhance their performance and meet goals.
TVH Chief Executive, Geeta Nanda said, “Our people are high performing, committed and always looking for ways to improve the service they provide. This award recognises our determination to give our staff opportunities to continually develop themselves and achieve their full potential.”
