Who is it for?

My Community Starter gives you guidance, ideas and inspiration, as well as advice on legal, health and safety and planning information for community projects.

Its purpose is to break down the barriers to you organising your own community activity.  It is provided by Zurich Insurance however it is completely FREE.  You are not required to purchase anything.  This could be:

• Organising a weekly shopping collection for an elderly neighbour
• Picking up litter from the beach. 
• Arts and creative or heritage community projects
• Fundraising activities, plus others...

It could be just you who wants so do this or 50 like-minded people.

About the site

The site is easy to use, and has a number or useful tools so you don't have to spend ages reading and clicking through pages.  These include:

• The Activity Checker - a checklist which helps you identify if the site is right for your project.  If not, the site will signpost you to the right information
• My Community Starter Pack - You create it on the site, so it has the right information for your type of project.
