Painting and Decoration
This is a one day course delivered to TVH residents in partnership with Mears
At the end of the course, you will have learnt about:
Preparation – (practical session)
- Different types of sandpaper and their uses
- Different types of fillers- attempt to fill dents on mock-walls and rub down overfilled holes that have been pre-prepared.
Emulsion- (practical session)
- Types of paint and their finish
- Cutting in and masking tape
- Roller and brush technique
- Drying times
Woodwork- (informative session)
- Types of paint and their finish
- Priming
- Brush technique
- Overview
Will I need to bring anything?
All equipment and protective clothing will be provided. Please wear comfortable loose clothing.
Location
The location of the course will depend on the location(s) of the learners. We will aim to deliver this locally to you, or close to the TVH Training Centre
Travel costs and other expenses
Travel by public transport and adult or child care costs can be reimbursed. This must be agreed by the Training Centre prior to commencing the course.
