Literacy
Our Literacy classes cater for learners at different levels, whether you want to start to develop your reading, writing and learn basic English grammar, or you are looking to refresh skills.
Our tutors work closely with the students to build up their confidence and and to position them to achieve a nationally recognised qualification if they wish to do so
Numeracy
Our Numeracy classes are offered to learners at different levels.
We cater for learners who want to start to develop their maths skills and those who have not used maths in a long time and would like to get to grips with the basics to build up their confidence.
We also deliver training to learners who already know the basics and want to refresh their maths in preparation for work or to deal with everyday situations.
Basic IT
Basic IT- this is for learners new to computers. This course covers
- How your computer works
- Terminology used in IT
- Word Processing
- Sending/receiving emails
- Internet
For more advanced learners, we provide classes appropriate to your level.
Length of qualification
These qualifications are approximately 2 hours a week over 12 weeks.
Location
These qualifications are delivered at the TVH Training Centre
Travel costs and other expenses
Travel by public transport and adult and child care costs can be reimbursed. This must be agreed by the centre prior to commencing a course.
