Good with promising prospects for improvement - 21/04/05
Following the Audit Commission’s inspection in January, Thames Valley Housing is delighted to have been judged as a good (two star) organisation with promising prospects for improvement.

The inspection was one of the first to be carried out using the revised guidance from the Audit Commission, in line with the new “KLOEs” (key lines of enquiry).

The report praised TVH’s “strong leadership” and “well trained, highly motivated and well managed” staff. It also noted the organisation’s customer focus and “track record of achieving change” and found that “residents are involved in shaping the services they receive”. Aspects which were particularly praised included the customer service centre, website, repairs, gas servicing and anti-social behaviour provisions.

Chief Executive Keith Holloway said, “The Audit Commission’s report shows how successful Thames Valley Housing has been in implementing improvements and in maintaining excellent customer service at a time of unprecedented growth for the organisation. We look forward to implementing further improvement plans and continuing to go from strength to strength.”

The full report can be read on the Audit Commission website.
