£50m in National Affordable Housing Programme - 05/04/06
The chances of finding a home you can afford in the Thames Valley region got a boost today with the announcement by Thames Valley Housing that they have secured £50.2m from the Housing Corporation to help them build 1116 affordable homes in the region over the next three years. This comes on top of £7.5m already allocated in the New Partnerships in Affordable Housing funding round.

The funding covers homes for rent and low-cost home ownership, where purchasers buy a share and pay rent on the remainder.

The homes will be much-needed in the most expensive areas to live in in the country, including London, Surrey and Berkshire. Today’s announcement means more local people will be able to find a quality, affordable home near family, work and schools.
