Annual Stakeholders Meeting 2008

The TVH Annual Stakeholders Meeting took place this month in the presence of over 100 key partners. The event hit a positive note despite current market conditions, since Thames Valley Housing is succeeding in continuing to sell an average of 8 shared ownership homes a week.

Geeta Nanda, TVH CEO, spoke at her first Stakeholders meeting since joining TVH in April. She explained the success of the TVH sales record was a direct result of tailoring their services to residents on low and modest incomes, coupled, crucially, with an understanding of the individual housing markets in the Local Authority areas where TVH provides homes.

The guest speaker, Richard Donnell, Director of Research for Hometrack, gave a presentation endorsing this as the key way to be able to provide housing for people on lower incomes, despite the credit crunch. He emphasized the need for local market analysis so that housing associations, local authorities and developers could tailor housing supply to local market demands.
