Shared Ownership is a scheme where you buy a percentage of a newly built property, and pay a reduced rent on the remaining share. You can purchase a further percentage at any time until you own the property outright.
To be nominated for Shared Ownership, you need to register with your local authority, even if you are already living in a housing association home.
