Volunteering is a really effective way to learn new skills and build your confidence to prepare for employment. As a way of gaining experience and preparing for the workplace. It is highly respected by employers.
We provide opportunities for our residents to volunteer here at Thames Valley Housing and we are also able to signpost residents to other organisations who can provide other volunteering opportunities of your choice.
We are able to support you with training alongside your volunteer placement, whether you are based at Thames Valley Housing or based at another organisation.

The length of your placement can be negotiated and determined by the placement provider and your level of availability.
Travel by public transport and adult and child care costs will be reimbursed if you volunteer at TVH. Travel and care costs may be reimbursed if volunteering with other organisations. This must be agreed by the Centre prior to commencing your volunteer placement.
