English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)
If you speak English as a second language, the job application process can be daunting. Not only can you experience difficulty understanding the job application process but you may also find it hard to communicate your views accurately in an interview situation.
Our ESOL classes cater for learners who want to deveop their skills in the English language in order to improve their employement prospects and everyday communication.
ESOL is for TVH residents and is free if you are claiming a means tested benefit. (Some examples of this are Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit)
Travel by public transport and child or adult care costs can also be reimbursed but his must be agreed before commencing the course.
Literacy, Numeracy and IT Courses
We can also put you in touch with courses offered by our partners with the possibility of gaining qualifications.
Literacy classes cater for learners at different levels, whether you want to start to develop your reading, writing and learn basic English grammar, or you are looking to refresh skills.
Maths classes cater for learners who want to start to develop their maths skills and those who have not used maths in a long time and would like to get to grips with the basics to build up their confidence. There is also training for learners who already know the basics and want to refresh their maths in preparation for work or to deal with everyday situations.
