This course leads to the Introductory Certificate in First Line Management accredited by The Institute of Leadership and Management.
The course is for candidates who want to develop skills that will maximise their performance, and the peformance of the teams they are managing. The course will provide candidates with the skills, tools and knowledge to build and lead effective teams whilst gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
The topics studied include: leadership; problem solving; planning and implementing change; team building and motivation; managing performance and managing conflict.
The training is delivered via training workshops, knowledge reviews, one-to-one and online support and a work based assignment of 1500 words.
For middle managers and those hoping to move into middle management.
This course leads to the Introductory Diploma in Management accredited by The Institute of Leadership and Management.
This course offers candidates a tightly-focused package for those who wish to increase their personal management skills and think strategically about their individual business needs and direction.
The topics studies include: management in organisations; managing individuals; planning for efficiency; project planning and control.
The training is delivered via training workshops, training workshops, a work-based assignment and reviews.
For Senior Managers and Middle Managers preparing to move into a senior role.
This course is accredited by The Institute of Leadership and Management.
The qualification is for managers who need to lead larger groups of people to acheive organisations goals, and is divided into 2 parts.
Part 1 covers the theory of Leadership and Leadership best practice. Candidates will take part in a 3 day training workshop, prepare a personal reflection on current Leadership styles with tutorial support and give an oral presentation.
In Part 2, delegates will take part in an Action Learning group to develop their own leadership skills. Candidates will be involved in workshops and group building sessions, spend a 1/2 day a month learning about leadership and organisational development and produce a log with an ongoing reflection on their performance improvement.
