We are currently recruiting for a Revenues Assistant to work within the department to support the revenues team in the collection of current tenant arrears for 21 hours per week flexible (either 3 full days or 5 half days). The main contacts in this role would be our tenants, Courts, Solicitors, Housing Benefit Departments, Citizen’s Advice Bureau’s and Money Advice Services.
The main responsibility of the post holder will include: • the processing of court applications on line and raising payments with our finance department, • diary management for the revenue officers of the hearing dates, •minute monthly team meetings and circulate those minutes, •ensure correspondence monitoring for the team is up to date, •process invoices that are required for payment within the revenues department in a timely manner and in the absence of current post holder, by way of liaising with external contacts such as utility companies, i.e. electricity, gas and water suppliers, Local Authority departments including Council Tax and Housing Benefit. •administer Fair Rent increases as and when due, including liaising with the Fair Rents Officer for corresponding boroughs and ensure rent and service charge levels are updated in rent charging system, •distribute incoming post for the directorate on a rotational basis in the absence of the dedicated post holder. This role focuses on supporting the function of the team and be responsible for the administration in the department, accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
