As you’re probably aware, severe flood warnings have been issued for various places throughout the Thames Valley. The most comprehensive and up to date information on which areas are flooding can be found on the Environment Agency’s website here
If you think your property might be at risk, make sure you regularly check this website.
What should I do if my property floods?
First of all, we strongly suggest you read the Environment Agency’s information on ‘What to do during a flood’
If you live in a Thames Valley Housing property and it starts to flood:
- Dial 999 and contact the emergency services. Get in touch with us after you are safe
- If it is not an emergency, call 0300 456 2929 (option 1) to speak to our Repairs Team who will be able to help you. The same telephone number can be used to contact our Out of Hours Emergency Repairs Team too.
- If your home floods, we will be able to find you suitable alternative accommodation, so get in touch with us as soon as possible if this happens on the above number. This will be organised by your Housing Officer or Property Manager, but please contact the Repairs Team in the first instance. (If you are in a block that is affected, It would help if one resident agrees to liaise between TVH and all other the residents so we can communicate more effectively with everyone involved).
