Thames Valley Housing has won the gold Love Your Community quality mark.

TVH were one of six organisations to receive the quality mark which was announced on the same day as the National Corporate Responsibility Awards on Friday 6th March.

The Love Your Community quality mark was developed by the Community Development Foundation (CDF) to recognise organisations that have shown real commitment to engaging with local communities. Thames Valley Housing received a gold award for engaging with communities at all stages of the business cycle.

Each submission was carefully reviewed by a panel of experts from the community, business and commissioning sectors. They said, “We were impressed by the depth of commitment demonstrated by the applicants to delivering social and economic value to their communities. In many cases, this went well beyond just doing ‘business as usual’. It was also encouraging to see that applicants were seeing their community engagement work as an on-going process of continuous improvement”.

About Love Your Community

CDF knows that organisations can contribute to community life in a whole range of different ways and that this is not always recognised or acknowledged. The Love Your Community quality mark has been developed to help such organisations better demonstrate their positive impact on the community and stand out from the competition. It indicates that an organisation has a track record of working successfully in communities and has made meaningful and sustainable contributions to the quality of life for individuals and the wider community.
