Representatives from Thames Valley Housing, Spelthorne Council, Bellway Homes, and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) gathered on Friday 16 October to celebrate the opening of Stone Gate Court, a new housing development in Staines-upon-Thames.
Built by Bellway Homes at the site of the old Crooked Billet pub, the development contains 29 one, two and three-bedroom flats for affordable rent.
Stone Gate Court will provide accommodation for families on Spelthorne Council’s Housing Register.
Guy Burnett, Development Director at Thames Valley Housing said: “We are delighted to have worked in partnership with Spelthorne Borough Council, Bellway and the HCA to deliver these brand new homes in Staines.”
Cllr Jean Pinkerton, Spelthorne Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing said: “Spelthorne, like most boroughs, has a serious shortage of affordable housing, so I am extremely pleased that we’ve been able to help with the creation of these new modern and spacious homes for families currently on the Housing Register or in Bed and Breakfast accommodation.”
