IMG_2680 webpagesOur Community Investment Team has been spreading Christmas cheer all around Cippenham, Slough by hosting a fun Christmas themed event over the weekend. The team organised a Santa’s grotto with story telling and carol singing. 90 residents had the opportunity to enjoy the event with 63 children being on Santa’s “nice” list and meeting and receiving presents from him.

Rudi Nicholls, Community Access Officer said, “The children really enjoyed the event, it was great to give them the opportunity to meet Santa while their parents talked to us about the work we’re doing in the area. We have identified two new residents who are interested in becoming Community Champions and I’m looking forward to getting their input when planning future activities.”

Najime Yachou, Employment Engagement Officer noted, “The kids loved Santa, the animal balloons and meeting Rudi the Red Nosed Reindeer, but it was also great for my team to be able to meet a lot of residents, talk to them about our involvement in their community and find out ways we can work with them or support them in future. We run a lot of projects with an environmental or social purpose, along with a lot of employment support, and it’s exciting to be planning what we’ll do in the New Year.”
