Staff from Thames Valley Housing joined future colleagues from Genesis, and other housing associations on Saturday 25th June to march under the banner of HouseProud in the annual Pride in London parade.
TVH, who were taking part in the parade for the first time, walked alongside representatives from L&Q, Circle Housing, Affinity Sutton, Peabody, Notting Hill, Metropolitan, Tower Hamlets Homes and more.
Geeta Nanda, Chief Executive of Thames Valley Housing, said: “I am delighted that TVH teamed up with other housing associations as part of HouseProud at London Pride 2016. The event had added importance this year, in light of the recent horrific events in Orlando. By coming together in Central London on Saturday, we were able to show that equality, diversity and the inclusion of all people are just a few of the things that make this city great!”
HouseProud was formed in 2014, with the aim of attracting and supporting a more diverse workforce into housing, as well as looking out for LGBT customers.
Each year, the Pride in London parade marks the culmination of over two weeks of celebrations of the LGBT+ community across the city.
