The Mayor of Waverley opens new affordable homes at Milford Green

tvh_pic_62Representatives from Waverley Borough Council, Thames Valley Housing (TVH), David Wilson Homes and the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) formally opened brand new homes for shared ownership and affordable rent in the Godalming area this week.

The Mayor of Waverley, Councillor Chris Storey was given a tour of the site and met with a TVH resident before officially declaring the development open.

Raffaele Amatruda, a resident of Milford Green said: “I’m really pleased with my new home here. It’s a quiet and peaceful location and a good place to raise a family.”

The site, located within the Leithfield Park development, features 20 homes for shared ownership and 16 for affordable rent. TVH worked in partnership with David Wilson Homes, Waverley Borough Council and the HCA to deliver these with the aim of addressing housing need in the area.

The Mayor of Waverley, Councillor Chris Storey said: “I was delighted to officially open Milford Green this week. These new homes are a step towards addressing housing need in the borough and I hope that the residents are happy there for years to come. ”

Guy Burnett, Development Director at Thames Valley Housing added: “We’re really proud to have worked in partnership with Waverley Borough Council, David Wilson Homes and the HCA to build these new homes for local people. We look forward to delivering more new affordable homes as part of our ongoing commitment to the borough of Waverley.”
