Construction Director Andrew Stubley and Project Manager Indy Gill joined Gary Skinner from Inland Homes and Councillor Barbara Hurst and Sue Thornett from Rushmoor Council to celebrate the Topping Out of the Queensgate development in Farnborough, Hampshire.
The ceremony marked the official completion of brickwork on the two blocks of apartments, which will provide 80 units, of which 28 are owned by TVH. Of our stock, 16 are shared ownership properties which will be sold through the Associations’ dedicated shared ownership brand So Resi and 12 will provide much-needed affordable rented housing in the town.
This latest milestone adds to the existing successful development at Queensgate, where there are one, two, three and four bedroom homes all located on former MoD land just outside Farnborough town centre. The scheme contains residential properties and business space in a carefully landscaped setting, close to the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, where a new 20,000 sq m conference and exhibition space is opening in spring 2018.
Andrew Stubley laid the final brick and said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Inland Homes to deliver these high quality homes, helping to meet the housing needs of the local community.”
Gary Skinner, Managing Director at Inland Homes, added: “Inland Homes has been working over a number of years to transform this important brownfield site into a thriving and sustainable necommunity. It is very exciting for us to be working with Thames Valley Housing to bring this final phase of much-needed new properties forward.”
