Project: Sustainable Foodbank – Slough
Slough foodbank provides 3 days non-perishable emergency food to people in food crisis who live in the Slough area. Food is donated by the public. “Frontline care professionals” such as doctors and social workers identify people in crisis and issue a food voucher which is redeemed for food at the foodbank.
Bid Summary: Slough foodbank currently employs a part time manager (30 hours a week). Funding is sought to increase their hours and make the foodbank more sustainable. This will enable the foodbank to feed more people and recruit more volunteers.
