Age UK Berkshire

Type of organisation: Support for Older People

Location: Reading, Wokingham, Bracknell, Slough, West Berks, Windsor & Maidenhead

We believe that everyone can love later life – we do this by inspiring, supporting and enabling in a number of ways: To encourage choice and opportunity for older people. To be a direct service provider of high quality services for older people. To ensure that older people are aware of, and have access to, the benefits to which they are entitled. To advocate on behalf of older people. To promote positive attitudes towards older people and ageing.

What will I be doing?

Most of our volunteering roles require people who are able to make an on-going commitment e.g. befriending, so we would welcome people who would be able to help with this. However, there is some scope for people who would be able to help with fundraising, planning, marketing and/or training on a more ad-hoc basis.
