Type of organisation: Neighbourhood Care Group
Location: London Borough of Richmond upon Thames
FiSH Neighbourhood Care provides voluntary help for the residents of Barnes, Mortlake & East Sheen with the aim of combating loneliness and providing practical support. FiSH was established in 1962 as one of the first neighbourhood care organisations in the country and has served the community for over 50 years. Today FiSH has over 500 clients and 280 volunteers and provides assistance and support to anyone in the local area, helping them to maintain their independence and combat loneliness.
What will I be doing?
We would love some input from volunteers with graphic design or PR skills. We would be interested in reviewing our logo and reworking the template for our volunteer and client newsletters. Alternatively, we arrange a monthly lunchtime concert on the first Friday of each month. A small group of volunteers with music performance skills (that would appeal to an elderly audience) would be welcome.
Will any manual labour be involved? Yes
