Hart Foodbank is no.100 of the Trussell Trust’s 423 Foodbanks. It is a Christian organisation dedicated to helping people in times of crisis. The non perishable food is donated by approximately 60 donors in the Hart area. The volunteers transport the food to 3 centres. If they are entitled, they receive a voucher to exchange for an emergency food parcel at the Foodbank. The volunteers at the Foodbank centres weigh and sort the food ready to make into parcels. Some of the volunteers meet and greet the clients and ensure they are getting the help that they need. Foodbanks assist people until the end of their crisis.
